PROBLEM

The Proprietor of an independent, boutique hotel contacted Enviroliance due to concern over its domestic water quality and its potential impact on the health of new and returning guests.

OUR APPROACH

Enviroliance implemented a comprehensive programme of domestic water sampling and analysis to obtain a clear understanding of the source of the issue within the Hotel’s water system.

Alongside the sampling and analysis process, Enviroliance also carried out minor remedial works in an attempt to find cost effective solutions to overcome the water quality issues. The results were evidenced via Enviroliance’s partnered UKAS accredited laboratories, providing us with a clear understanding of the issue in hand.

During this process, Enviroliance also identified assets within the Hotel’s Plant Room that had reached the end of their working life, resulting in energy and cost inefficiencies, whilst potentially contributing to the poor water quality.

OUTCOME

Enviroliance worked closely with the Hotel Management Team to devise a refurbishment proposal solution that would enable the hotel to operate to high standards for the next 20 plus years, providing both commercial and water quality benefits.

This included the design, decommission, installation and commission of a new Plant room consisting of 4x 50kw LTHW cascade boilers and bespoke designed domestic Hot Water Cylinder; together with a long-term Sampling and Analysis programme including periodic cold-water storage tank cleaning and disinfections.

“This project is an excellent example of how the Enviroliance service offering extends far beyond standard water quality management. This is where our industry leading experience and expert mechanical engineers enable us to offer a complete end-to-end solution, including an ongoing maintenance and support programme that upholds water quality for the long-term.”
